庄川夜高行燈
五穀豊穣を願う行事として、南砺市福野の夜高祭りを参考に始まった。各町内ごとに行燈をつくり、競いあううちに大きくそして派手になっていった。
Shogawa Yotaka Festival
It began as an event to pray for a good harvest. Each town made its own andon (lanterns), and as they competed with each other, they became bigger and flashier.
