室町時代に始まり、富山の売薬の包み紙として広く使われた。型染めが特徴で、鮮やかな色彩が魅力的。耐水性・耐久性にも優れ、布と同じように扱うことができる。

Yatsuo Washi Paper

Yatsuo washi began in the Muromachi period (1333-1573) and was widely used as wrapping paper for medicine sales in Toyama. It features stencil dyeing, and its vivid colors are attractive.
