快晴の日には富山湾越しの立山連峰を望むことのできる、富山を代表する眺望点。12月~2月頃の冬季で、寒暖差の激しい日の朝には「気嵐（けあらし）」と呼ばれる現象が起こり、海面が霧に包まれる。

On clear days, the Tateyama Mountain Range can be seen over Toyama Bay. On the mornings of cold winter days, a phenomenon called “kearashi” occurs and the surface of the sea is shrouded in fog.
